Patrick Slowinski

Patrick T. Slowinski is a retired career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, an industrial and organizational psychologist, adjunct faculty of psychology and education, linguist, conservative podcaster, father of four and grandfather of three.

Patrick holds doctoral degrees in education and industrial and organizational psychology.  He is also an adjunct faculty member of psychology at Liberty University, where teaches undergraduate and graduate psychology courses and serves as dissertation chair for psychology doctoral candidates. 

During his Foreign Service career, he served overseas on diplomatic assignments in Poland, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Russia. In his last overseas assignment, he led the U.S. Consulate in Krakow, Poland, as Consul General (2019-2022).

He also had successful domestic assignments at the Office of the U.S. Trade representative, as Director for South and Central Asia, Eurasian Senior Energy Diplomacy Officer, Poland Desk Officer, and Deputy Director for Modernization and Innovation at the Board of Examiners in the Global Talent Management (GTM) Bureau at the U.S Department of State. 

Patrick is an accomplished theoretical and applied linguist, specializing in Slavic languages, including Polish, Ukrainian, and Russian.  He is also an active member of the Polish community in the United States, and received a Lifelong Achievement Award by the Polish American Congress of Milwaukee in 2023.

His research interests include job assessment design and validation, the effects of religiosity on home and work life, effective federal employee recruitment and selection policies, and global and domestic policy paradigm shifts.
